TBOM contains apparently irrelevant objects

0
0

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone has any insights into TBOM contents that can explain this situation;

My Solman system is 7.1, sp11; my managed system is ECC 702, Ehp5.

My TBOM is for pa20 (a standard HR transaction).  It is a semi-dynamic one created from the UPL running on ECC. It contains all the usual suspects from SAP HR packages but also - and here's my confusion - some dictionary objects (domains and data elements) from Z packages in plant maintenance.  The result of this is that a transport containing one of these PM objects will flag an HR process for test !  I have deleted and re-created the TBOM with the same results.  The objects are in separate package hierarchies.

Thanks for any information,

Regards

Guy

Hi Luis ,

You got it right. I did..but I had to break up data into packets. per free server available..it works very good if a server is avalable..but was getting hanged when a server is temporarily not available.

I have ..for the time being cahnged the sequesncing..i.e Run 2 , run 1 and then run 3..since run 2 has max data..thats working for me..not sure how this will work in higher data volumes though.

Hi Abhishek,

What version of ECC are you on? Do you know if Data Services will function with the business content extractors on ECC 6 lower versions ? R/3 4.6/4.7?

Thanks.

We are implementing the agent determination based on the data that was changed in the CR. That's why we need to identify what fields were changed programmatically.

If one workflow starts then the other should start too. Most probably an exception is being generated in either of those function modules. You might need to use the help of an ABAP resource.

You should find the tables rfcdes, tbtcp useful to get the list of userid's the rfc connections and the batch jobs definitions are using.

I solved it.

I checked the SAPMSVMA (SM30) and it was working a little bit different or I just didn't understand you well. There was a check if it's called by a parameter transaction or dialog transaction. If it was call by param tcode the fields was not hide and else if dialog tcode the fields was hide.

Here is the source code:

CALL 'GET_PARAM_TCOD' ID 'PTCOD' FIELD PARTCODE.          "HWR

   IF PARTCODE NE SY-TCODE.                                  "HWR

     MENU = 'X'.                                             "HWR

   ELSE.                                                     "HWR

     MENU = SPACE.                                           "HWR

     LOOP AT SCREEN.

       CHECK SCREEN-GROUP1 EQ 'FKT'.

       SCREEN-ACTIVE = 0.

       MODIFY SCREEN.

     ENDLOOP.

ENDIF.

Re: Abap objects standards

Hi Bruce,

I see, so you want to explain why using SE24 is so powerful and easy? Correct me if i am wrong.

TAW12 is part of the ABAP course Bundle, which is the ABAP fundamentals course, that includes the courses TAW10, TAW11 and TAW12, the books are given as part of the courses. If you search for pdfs with the course name you should find something that someone has shared.

My version is in my mother language (portuguese) and many pages were scrawled by me with notes, so i don't know if it would help.

I just reviewed it, and there's a chapter with a guideline of SE24: (it is a bit mixed with SE80)

Chapter 3 - Object-Oriented Repository Objects

I googled it an i found the official e-learning chapter on it, someone did get the presentation and shared on scribd:

*it is supposed to have videos and subtitles in english check if works in your browser, check it before someone wipes it out!!

Chapter 3 - Object-Oriented Repository ObjectsSAP

Scribd link with other several topics/links on this course videos: Taw12

The guideline is the same as my SAP Book, maybe a bit changed due to version update.

Additionaly, in Chapter 1 - Introduction to ABAP Oriented Programming , there are some historical and structural data about ABAP Objects, comparison to FM and procedural approach, in general it explains why SAP has developed this language, and it says that "were only adopted concepts that have been proved effective in another OO Languages, as Java, C++, and Smalltalk".

Well... changing a bit the subject, i agree with you that event raising and handling are quite a good resource, and by the way, there's an relevant concept called Publish and Subscribe (it is also in the book The Pragmatic Programmer, surprise!! hehehe wikipedia also has it ). In SAP it is available as the ABAP Messaging Channel available on NW AS ABAP 7.40, it is on my list of studies when i get my hands on it.

Hope it helps!

Regards,

Renan

OK Matthew,

This gives a trigger to a Blog on 'To whom these topics belong?'.

Coming back to present issue, waiting for the answer from your colleagues or hierarchy.

Re: Can you view an Analysis View?

Hi Trisha

As Tammy mentioned, Analysis Views were developed so that the results of an analysis, created in Analysis Office or Analysis OLAP, could then be passed over to tools such as CR and WebI.

CR and WebI have many formatting options and they simply treat the Analysis View as another data source.

In essence there is no need to create an Analysis View, unless you want to "beautify" your analysis results.

Kind Regards

Ian

Hi ,

Thanks for sharing your valuable experiences here .

I was able to use PHP to search twitter API and post into HANA tables, now

I am trying similar exercise however on HANA Cloud platform . Though option to call earlier created PHP destination from HANA XS is always there to mimic the action , would like to test twitter destination.

Just wondering , If i need to establish SSL trust certificates on HANA cloud platform... before i start wrting outbound XS script for ..

With consumer key, secret, access token, and token secret - from twitter account,  First call to oauth/request_token api with consumer key to return toauth okens for following string  to be used as HTTP request header for Authorization when calling seach api,

OAuth oauth_consumer_key="XX",oauth_nonce="XX",oauth_signature = "XX",oauth_signature_method = "HMAC-SH1", oauth_timestamp = "XX", oauth_token = "XX", oauth_version = "1.0".

Anyways will try and share the findings

MII 14.0 SP5 Issue

Hello I'm developing a solution in MII 14.0 SP5.

I would like to know if it's a normal behavior?

I just spent some time trying to determine why the following expression is false

(0==0 and 0==0) = false

However I've already solved the problem in the following way

((0==0) and (0==0)) = true

The funny thing is that the following expression works well

(0==0 and 1==1) = true
