Hi,

   Create a new line item in the PO and check whether the confirmation control key is getting updated in the PO item automatically. Also, you may create a new PO and check.

   For the existing PO item, you may manually add the confirmation control key in the PO - item - confirmations tab and save. Check the same again in ME22N.

Hi,

   The pricing procedure is determined at the time of creation of PO. Adding a new line item or update pricing wont redetermine the pricing procedure.

   If you want new procedure to be determined, you may create a new PO and proceed.

   If the issue is with tax code, you may select the correct tax code and proceed. If VAT is a condition type in the new MM pricing procedure, you need to create a new PO.

Script is ok. but when I run the job,

 

Getting below error.....

I tried with single quotes and double quotes.

regarding:

With above understanding what I assume is, SAP is trying to move all EHS functionalities to new EHSM module.


This will not happen. The core EHS part will stay in EHS (according to my expectation). But you are right: the trend is quite clear: anything new will be build up in Component Extension. Software which is still out there might be moved as well to Component Extension. (e.g.  may be REACh Compliance Suite). But there is no official roadmap available. Only if you participate in Ramp Up you will get a clue about new functionality in Component Extension.

Therefore:

1.Having experience and learning upcoming modules of SAP EHSM are not enough for me to be a competent EHSM consultant? or do I need to focus on classic EHS also.

=> depends on your future job options:  My assumption would be that you need 60% - 80% EHS Classic Know How  and 20 - 40 Component Extension Know how Then you really have a broad knowledge skill.


Reasons for EHS classic. any legal change has to be reflected in EHS classic as  most of the companies do use EHS classic (e.g. GHS, REACH). This is the "core" application. Remember: with EnPack 7 a "retrofit"/"enhancement" of GLM took place. So SAP is investing as well money here.


2. What are modules or functionalities which were part of EHS classic and are available in EHSM (CE)


As you have mentioned by yourself: Risk/INcident/Accident handling (EHS IH) is classic solution. This has been moved to component extension. But Component Extension is getting additional solutions of other SAP solutions; especially wich Component Extension 6.0) which haven't been developped in EHS classic

Here you will find the current/recent statement of SAP (Mary Kilgo) about EHS classic and Component Extension and the potential future roadmap.


Conclusion: currently I would assume that there are many projects running in many companies to use "Component Extension" (either first try or to do upgrade). But as mentioned by yourself: the job market for EHS classic is still interesting.


For both topics: in most cases the project life time is between 6 - max 18 month. So you need to be very flexible. There might be a project EHS classic, the Ccomponet Extension, then Classic etc. etc.

Hi Istvan,

 

I opened the Downloads link and tried to install service packs for Crystal Reports 2011. I started from the latest Service Pack – SP11. 

 

When I run a downloaded file, Win-RAR Self-extracting archive threw an error:

  • - “Some installation files are corrupt. Please download a fresh copy and retry the installation”.
  • - “CRC failed in [every time different file]. Unexpected end of archive”.

It happened with all service packs from SAP Crystal Reports 2011 SP11 down to SP7.

Crystal Reports was closed the whole time.

Only SP5 archive extracted OK.

 

However, SP5 installer throws another error:

A reboot request is suppressed on the local machine. Please reboot the machine in order to proceed with the installation. INS00289

I found a page http://solveissue.com/note?id=1880774 and followed instructions. Multiple reboots did not help, deleting of registry key did not make a difference either.

 

So service pack installation is a stubborn issue on its own…

 

Are there any other ideas what may cause a problem described in the original post?

I do believe you can install on 2012 and then immediately apply the SP stack with SUM. I believe you said the basic issue is one of coming up with a working stack.xml file, right?

Hi,

 

If you want to use other logical file names but not CLASSIFICATION, please maintain them as alias. Please refer to the above online help for how to do it.
Also, the same logic is applied to CHARACTERISTIC.

To be able to use other logical file names, you have to maintain them as an alias. Please refer to the details in the online help as mentioned in note 1645855:

T-code SM30
  Table/View           V_FILEALIA
  press button Maintain

Create the following entry and save:

LOGFILE_APPL        SEQNR LOGFILE_ALIAS
CLASSIFICATION      001   *************   << the file name you used

Hello all,

 

I'm working with a client which used SAP TM.

Requirement is to create a report in order to check the accruals of the current period (M) against the ones of previous periods (M-1) to analyze the consistency across periods. This report will be created in our BI system.

Someone can provide an example of this report in order to cover this requirement.

Hello Sir,

 

When you have "Configurable Material" used in business system has to generate "VBAP-CUOBJ" which is decisive factor to flow data to COPA.

 

If VBAP-CUOBJ is not present in table, characteristics wont be updated in COPA. This is absolutely depends on "Item Category" used for sales order and billing types.

 

Below configuration MUST be present to item category in system to be update in COPA.

urgent - migration issues

IQ gurus ! thank you great community and a good team work.

 

Over the weeknd, I had a dry run for the migration which failed as my row counts were missing from IQ 12/7/source to target/ IQ 15.4. Some tables a re empty, and few tables fail withed incorrect delimiter. I tested this before, dry run, and over the weekend, nothing worked.

 

1. column delimiter used '|' &  row delimiter with @ & ^., for few tables I used '\x0da\x09a'.

 

my ask, anybody has a script to compare the row counts between row counts for the migration, & suggestions I should be using regarding the row delimiter

 

with tables that had '|col1 |col2, I used ',' & '\n' , also used '\|' within the lOAD besides the column.

Hi Balaji,

 

Thanks for your reply, but I have a feeling it might not be as simple as looking for open line status today. It may be closed today but it might have been open on say June 30th which was 27 days ago.

 

I also think we would have to take care of those GRPOs which were closed without an invoice or manually reconciled with other Journal Entries, or even with Goods Returns.

For our initial Go-Live in 2001, the SAP consultants configured the system so that we would only have the W-40 WSR, and for Part-Time Employees, we would enter 50% on their IT0007 (PA0007-MINTA) and 50% on their IT0008 (PA0008-BSGRD).  The problem with this is that it does not take into account the employees who work every second day, or 2 full days plus one half day, and there was often problems with Attendances/Absences.

 

A few years back, we added 2 custom fields in Table PA0007 in order to be able to enter the "real" activity rate (%) and the "real" number of hours worked, so that we could create WSR using Daily Work Schedules that were 0 hours, 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours and 10 hours, and that combined in a PWS would create a 50% WSR.  Now, for employees on these WSR, we enter them at 100% on IT0007, and upon saving the IT0007, a Dynamic Action creates the IT0008 with the appropriate % and Work Hours, based on the 2 Custom Fields from IT0007.  These employees have far less problems with Attendances/Absences.

 

Note that if you want to keep your current configuration, you may want to consider creating a special Pay Scale Group for these employees, where the Salary would have been pro-rated to 50%.

No service found for namespace , name SM_INTEGRATION_SRV, version 0001

I am trying to implement "Change WBS Element Status" app and was working fine until today. All of a sudden I am getting gateway error "No service found for namespace , name SM_INTEGRATION_SRV, version 0001". Corresponding service has been maintained and is active. I am not sure what is happening.

Hi Florian,

 

I haven't rolled out 7.40 myself, but a while back I wrote a document series on setting up Installation Servers for 7.30, and as part of that I included instructions for using shared central configuration files (saplogon.ini) instead of distributing them to all the users.

 

One of the folks commenting on the blog came up with and published in a comment how to do the same thing for 7.40, and I believe this can be adapted to your situation:  SAPGUI Installation Server Part 5 - Scripting.

Hi Jan,

 

I am having the exact same problem.

 

I have a monthly chain that I would like to wait for a process in a chain that runs daily.  I have found that, as soon as the monthly chain containing the interrupt process is scheduled, the system begins "listening" for the predecessor event, and logs that event in table RSPCINTERRUPTLOG as soon as it next occurs (e.g., the next time the daily chain runs).  This means, as soon as my monthly chain kicks off, the interrupt condition is already satisfied, and the chain does not wait for the next occurrence of the predecessor event, as desired.

 

This means I have to wait until the day when my monthly chain is supposed to run to scheduled it.  Not very useful.

 

Did you ever find a solution to this problem?

The Test tab contain some test instance. When you click on "process" you use one of those instance.

These test instance use the "old" source xml based on the old sender message type.

 

If you changed the source message types involved in the message mapping you have to use a source test message according to the new source message type. You can use the "Generate Instance" button in order to generate a valid source XML but then you have to put data inside the XML.

 

You can also copy payload at the inbound step in SXMB_moni.
