Hello Ahmed,
Existing Interest rate instrument transactions are being entered the system during legacy data transfer in just the same way as new transactions. You can either enter them manually (tr. TM_51) or use the existing BAPIs (example in this article andhelp.sap.com) to import the existing OTC transactions automatically.
Next, you must transfer all flows prior to the transfer key date to the status Posted, without actually generating documents in the general ledger. To do this, use the Flag Flows as Posted transaction (tr. TBB1_LC). This fully corresponds to the Post Flows transaction (Transaction TBB1). Unlike Transaction TBB1, you cannot flag the operational valuation area as posted, whereupon OTC transactions remain consistent in the valuation areas.
After you must also transfer the historical valuation results. To do this, enter a business transaction containing the values of all valuation components as of the key date. The historical valuation results are thus copied as balances.
Use this transaction:
IMG -> Financial Supply Chain Management -> Treasury and Risk Management -> Transaction Manager -> General Settings -> Tools -> Legacy Data Transfer -> Flow Data -> Enter Val.-Area-Dependent Data for Money Market, Forex, OTC Derivatives (tr. TPM63C),
If you usually make key date valuations with reset and do the legacy data transfer at the start of the fiscal year, the resetting of the valuation for the prior fiscal year must be made by the legacy data transfer. In this case, you specify two business transactions for a transaction, differentiated by the item number (ItemNo). One business transaction represents the key date valuation at the end of the previous fiscal year, and the other, the cumulated result of all preceding valuations. For the first business transaction, you set the indicator Valuation Reset (ValReset) and enter a differing position date, if necessary. An accrual/deferral with reset can be entered accordingly
Once you have entered the valuation results of the OTC transactions, use the Execute Data Transfer transaction
IMG -> Financial Supply Chain Management -> Treasury and Risk Management -> Transaction Manager -> General Settings -> Tools -> Legacy Data Transfer -> Flow Data -> Execute Data Transfer (tr. TPM63)
to transfer into the internal position management.
In the Posting Control frame, you can specify the posting and document date for the business transactions if they are going to be different from the position date. Similarly, you can indicate a posting period. This is especially useful if you are updating the usiness transactions into the general ledger. By default, the corresponding Update Accounting indicator is not set.
If errors occur during the legacy data transfer, use the Reverse Data Transfer transaction
IMG -> Financial Supply Chain Management -> Treasury and Risk Management -> Transaction Manager -> General Settings -> Tools -> Legacy Data Transfer -> Flow Data -> Reverse Data Transfer (tr. TPM64) to reverse it.
