SDK XRepository Error

Hi Experts,

I have recently updated to windows 10 and also at the same time cleaned all my old files on the system.

When I try to create any object in SDK, I get the following error. "XRepository Error: Repository Path xxxx is not valid or not found". What strange is that I dont get the error while creating the project. However as soon as I create any object. It throws this error and does not allow me to proceed further.

I have uninstalled and re-installed a clean SDK and also changed the project and import settings and still the same issue.

Channel Update

Hi

We need to do a system copy and would like all the channels to be inactive while taking this copy.

so that when the new system comes up, it doesn't get started automatically.

We are currently using PI7.4 dual stack.  Mass channel update is useful only on migration.

any suggestions please?

Sam

Re: How to calculate days between corresponding to a specific date

Hi Abhilash,

Thank you for the reply. I used your formulas in the report but my days difference comes out to be 0.

If i modify my problem as seen below where Date 1 is only capturing Status = 1 date and Date 2 is capturing Status = 3 date

Customer No.         Status            Date 1          Date 2

    123                       1               01/01/2016

    123                       2

    123                       3                                       01/11/2016

    123                       1               01/15/2016

    123                       5

    123                       3                                       01/25/2016

Now i need to be able to get the days between Date 1 and Date 2 and then add them to get a combined total for the days difference. In this case it will be 11+10 = 21 and subtract it from 25 (i.e. the first occurrence of Date 1 - last occurrence of Date 2)

Hence the answer will be 25 - 21 = 4

How can i write a formula that captures and adds the days difference between Date 1 and Date 2?

Dynamic Publishing sends blank data reports

Hi all,

I'm configuring a report to be send via Publication to some emails. We want to send a Sales report to different SalesRepresentatives, and data filtered by each SalesRep, being Publication our solution.

We have configured it according to different manuals we have followed:

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/8077811e-7637-2e10-7c9f-dcb81d630b5c?overridelayout=t…

Webi publishing through dynamic recipients and issues faced

It seems quite simple, and configuration was succesfully done. However, when we run a test, reports arrive without any data, just Header, and blank registers.

We are sure that there are data, for dynamic recipients, and we have tried lots of things, changed Identifier, but nothing has solved our issue.

For example, here the Dynamic Recipient List (it's a test one):

DynamicRecipientList.JPG

Here Report values, where you can see we can use either SalesRep, either FullName as identifier:

And this is how Excel arrives:

Here some screenshots about how we have configured Publication:

Hello Salman,

Please read SAP note 1555523. You will need to adjust the white list in webgui.cfg for the proper external executable execution. I hope this helps.

Re: Overview of risks within SAP GRC AC-Systems

$

Hi Andreas,

My Internal Audit team just categorized the GRC system as a SOX system because of Firefighter.  This means that I need to report the sensitive access risks and SODs, just like with ECC, so I'm in the same situation.

First, GRC 10.X is the same ABAP platform as ECC.  Therefore, you can scan for the same Basis/IT SOD and Sensitive Access risks that you look for in ECC.  This is simple - just add the GRC system to the Logical Groups for Basis Ruleset, generate rules, and run the reports.  However, this will only catch the pre-defined Basis risks.

Unfortunately there are no pre-defined GRC-related SOD/SA risks, so you would have to build them.  I can help you get started with some personal observations:

  1. The predefined GRC Admin role "SAP_GRAC_ALL" contains all of the AC authorizations (within 'GRAC' auth object).  This is your starting point for identifying which abilities you want to report on, or which combinations you should not allow.  As you grant or remove these objects and ACTVT values, you will grant or takeaway buttons and functionality within GRC NWBC.
  2. In my opinion, the most sensitive abilities are:
    1. Firefighter Administration - allows manual assignments of FF accounts to users; modify owner and controller assignments
      1. GRAC_FFOBJ
      2. GRAC_FFOWN
    2. Access Control Owner Administration - designate users as AC owners for FF Owner, Controller, Role Owner, Admins, etc.
      1. GRAC_OWNER
    3. Access Request Administration - enables AR abilities, such as Administrative approvals via Search Access Request in NWBC.  User could take complete control of Access Requests
      1. GRAC_REQ
    4. Role Administration - enables BRM abilities, including the ability to create/modify/delete roles directly in target systems via BRM in GRC
      1. GRAC_RLMM
      2. GRAC_ROLED
    5. Basis abilities for Configuration (included in standard Basis ruleset) - can make changes to GRC config directly in production
      1. SCC4 - open the client for direct config
      2. SM30 / SM31 with ACTVT 01, 02
      3. SE38 / SA38 - execute/modify reporting programs
      4. SM59 - manipulate RFCs to target systems

So, I think the objects mentioned above should be included in new Sensitive Access risks (Critical Action).  As far as SOD segregation, it's up to you to figure out which abilities should not be granted together for a single user.  I would suggest that only have 1 person with #3, or place #3 ability in a Firefighter account only.  I would also suggest that you prevent someone from having #2 and #1 together, because they could designate someone as a FF owner, another person as a FF controller, and then also make the FF assignments to users.  Also prevent #5 from any user all together, and place sensitive Basis abilities within a Firefighter account for the GRC system itself.

Good Luck!

-Ken
