Cutover from ECC 6.0 to EWM 9.0 with open documents
We have migrated from ECC WM to EWM 9.0. Is there a way to manage the open documents (like deliveries and shipments) that were created in ECC prior to connecting EWM?

How to change sold to party customer from Inquiry to Quotation?

It not possible at all if u remove partner funtion it willl give error not define in table,and there is no use of changing sold to party and there is option to change change other partner function as even its been defined in partner function sold to party as unique so we cannot change sold to party.If want create new order.

We didn't use that enhancement, but we developed a custom Z calculation that fetches the most recent result from a specified operation within the same inspection lot. I setup the Z formula in config and plugged in the ABAP'ers function module. We made ours so that InfoField 2 contains numbers formatted XX:YY where XX is the operation number to fetch from and YY is the characteristic number to fetch from. For the user it works the same as any other calc. you can even embed it with normal formula funcitonality. i.e. (A00030*100)/Z1

Are you sure that nobody will create or change any records in the system during the Set up table fill .
I doubt on that and would recommend a user lock out.Again i would suggest to do a trail Run in QA with Time and data accuracy.
Though itmay not impact the existing flow its better to delete the Set up table,LBWQ and RSA7 data before loading.

Hello Friends
While creating a single article , on Listing screen : While executing the listing after checking the box for manual assortment listing, error states 'no assortments listed for the Distribution chain selected? So Does it mean , I don't have to Execute listing at this stage? Or Do I have to Assign the Assortments to the Distribution chain? What is the Procedure? What do we need to Configure before creating an article?

From SAP support, from Uwe, I got the following useful tip so far.
It looks like you build-up the URL by yourself instead using the URL generated by the /UI5/THEME_DESIGNER transaction.
Please use either the transaction or bookmark the following URL:
http://host:port/sap/bc/theming/theme-designer
This will redirect automatically to the right URL adding some URL parameters that the theme designer needs (sap-themeroot, sap-webdav-themeroot). There is a small flaw in the coding that it will not add the parameters if it is called with /index.html.
Using this tip I now indeed get the publish option but it remains greyed out (deactivated) because I have no theming options, the Quick and Expert tab are completely blank, no option to change colors or add a background picture. So I still have some problems to solve.

What release do you use? I had similar problems and the reasons has been "Unified Rendering". You can check if you have those kind of problems using report WDG_MAINTAIN_UR_MIMES. The values under CLUR_NW7=>VERSION_PROPERTIES and Deployed version.properties should be identical.

Regarding BAPI
Hi Experts,
i was confused with BAPI and researched so many at last i find some thing gathering all, am posting what i have gathered regarding BAPI in this post .
please correct me if am go wrong.
BAPI is RFC enabled function module to be get connected with other system either it is third party or another SAP system.
BAPI must uses update function moulde to update the database tables during commit work statement or roll back statement.
update function module are triggered when program sees the commit work statement.
based on the ubove mentioned is right, i have one doubt here.
these update function module wont allow parameters, how can the BAPI send the values to update function module to update the particular value to DB. suppose we are doing BAPI to update material description how can update FM recognize that these are the material number to update the values and these are the material description??
can any one let me know if my understanding is wrong or if it is correct let me know how the update FM knows that these are the values needs to be updated.
