The problem must be with the way our Universe is set up as I CAN successfully run this going directly against a database, just not when I select a database from the Universe. In the Universe, it does not add the where clase to the SQL query.

Thanks for your reply! Yes, the ODBC driver is the AIM AT Historian x32 version, provided by Invensys. Actually the x32 ODBC setup is our last resort .. We've tried initially OLEDB but Invensys had problems setting it up for us on a Win 2008 Enterprise 32 bit system (they have their own compatibility lists too).
The second step was to build an Win 2008 R2 Enterprise (x64) machine where PCo runs now in 32 bit mode. With this setting and the AIM*AT Historian OLEDB provider installed, we can't see and select any AIM*AT Historian servers in the Data Link Properties tab in Source systems -> PCo OleDB Database connection - > Configuration settings.
The same AIM server seemed accessible via system ODBC, where testing the connectivity to Excel was working pretty well (you can't pool connections, though). Regarding OPC, (DA and/or HDA) there's no license in place for us, so we could not test anything in this regard.

Storing a password for the purpose of authentication in a format where the original password can be retrieved is very bad security practice and not something we do.
As others have said above, you can have someone reset it. BI has a concept of delegated administration, so you can create specific users who will have rights to administer users and reset their passwords, without requiring full administration rights. To do this, grant rights to the special user administrator on the user that they will administer (or on the user management section in CMC, click 'manage top level security' and assign the rights there.).
Even better is to connect to your active directory/LDAP and setup single signon to avoid password management all together.

Two multi-column sub reports - only one works
I've got two multi-column sub reports. One works and the other doesn't and I have no idea why. I checked over all the section options and they both have the same settings. The first one prints in two columns and the second doesn't. I could not find a setting anywhere for the number of columns. I used the column width of 3.9 to get two columns since the paper width is 8.
Any suggestions?

Creating internal table Using INCLUDE STRUCTURE
Hi Friends,
I have a doubt about creating internal table using INCLUDE STRUCTURE .
I created a table which has more than 10 fields So i thought to use include structure but i am getting following error when i am creating
TYPES: BEGIN OF ty_employee.
INCLUDE STRUCTURE zkarthi_student.
INCLUDE STRUCTURE zkarthi_marks.
TYPES: END OF ty_employee.
ERROR: Component called MANDT already exists
Both the table ZKARTHI_STUDENT and ZKARTHI_MARKS has the filed MANDT , how to skip MANDT field alone , ? Is this possible to create an internal which refers the field from two table using INCLUDE STRUCTURE?
Please suggest me a best way to solve this problem .

in bw there is no option to filll particular column.
So delete and reload is mandatory for infocube.
Best way - delete data from DSO and Cube. Reload whole data and set delta pointer.

Upgrade from SAP PI 7.1 to 7.4

We are upgrading from SAP PI 7.1 to SAP PI 7.4(Dual Stack).
Since we are moving dual stack version of 7.4, I don't see much impact.
Can anyone let me know the impact/issue we might face in upgrade? If any.

How to restrict the Qty & Val in MIRO for Customs

I have a reqmnt.
I have found in case of Import procurement process , we are not using GR based IV Indicator in the PO.Also we need to perform MIRO for Customs prior to GR.
1. Hence users need to manually enter the qty/val for all the duties during MIRO(Custom). I have also chkd that users can enter more than the PO-Qty & more then PO-Condition Value as well during that.
2. Also user can do MIRO(for Custom) multiple times as they wish, though MIRO(Custom) has already been completed for that item.
Ho to restrict the above in AP?Plz suggest.

Is Windows XP Service Pack 3 supports SAP 9.0 ?

We have a problem in SAP B1 9.0 PL 0 installation in windows XP SP3 . After installation it is showing the following error

Sale return of Component of Fin Prod

Problem in loading data to DSO

I have a problem in loading the data to DSO through Info package. The delta request has been running for a long time, but no data has been loaded. The job details screen is showing as below.
Previously there was no issues with this chain.
