I need help in writing few statements for Start Routine and end routine in Transformation

Hello Gurus,

I am new in SAP BW and need some help in start and end routine transformation statements

I am trying to achieve the following

In start Routine

Sales person

1- I am want all records of salesperson that start from SP and ignore rest of them

2- All records in sales person that has number 12 such as SP12

Also for Age:

I need to populate all age people who are 20 or above 20 years of age. I used SQL query but i think ABAP statements are different then SQL queries

For Date:

All records that has date starting Jan 1st 2014

Can all of them be used in Start routine at once

Is there a scenario based ABAB routine document so that i can take a look and understand?
