Sorry guys.. Wrong PO number updated in Table A.

PO No is same in both the tables i.e PO No = 100.

Well, in our modern days, just right-clicking on the table in the modeller and choosing "replace with data source" would be doing the trick, too.

As you seem to have access to the course material, you surely have taken the courses with a SAP training institution. Typically the folks there can also help you with understanding the requirements for the certifications.

Generally the Associate Certifications are designed in a way that all questions can be answered by the material mentioned in the prerequisites of the certification. So, given the courses you've taken, you should be able to pass the test.

I would like setFilter() or setFilterExt() to return no data when I pass a value that has no matches. Is that possible? Right now it throws a warning that it is invalid and has been discarded. Thanks in advance...

It turned out that the open ui control was loading but the client was unable to access the URL to load the base maps from the customer network.  Moving the device outside the network (hotspot) then allowed the maps to load as expected.

Import File / Appeon / .Net Assembly / LibXL

$

Greetings All,

I need to provide my users with the ability to import a file (spreadsheet) in my Appeon and process it in a datawindow.

In PB I have had good success using a Winform Target to be able to call LibXL.Net.DLL to open a spreadsheet and read and write to it using a PowerBuilder Winform Client.

And now I am wondering if that capability might exist in Appeon.  The documentation says that I can use a Winform target, but states that I have to re-write my code and possibly use something called the AppeonDotNetComponent.

So before I go any further down the rabbit hole, does this sound at all feasible?

If so, can someone point me in the right direction?

If not, is there some other way to open a file in the Appeon Web Client and read the spreadsheet so I can import the data?

Thank you!!

Paul

GRC - IBM ITIM integration

Hi,

Currently we have ITIM in place for user provisioning. We do not have workflows in place for the risk analysis or approvals.

We are planning to integrate GRC 10.0 with ITIM.

Business requirement is:

1) Access request to be submitted in GRC 10

2) Risk Analysis to be performed in GRC 10

3) Approval workflow to be completed in GRC 10

4) Update the results to ITIM and provisioning needs to be done from ITIM to SAP systems

Please let me know if this is possible?

Vamsi

Hello Gaurav.

Though very commonly required by industries, we are yet to take this process into SAP.  So I also await for experience based responses to your query.

  • The answer  to point1 seems to be Creation of PR (ME51N) with account assignment 'F', where you can assign the Refurbishment Order (or any other Order of your situation) then create PO (ME21N) and then create Service entry sheets (ML81N). While creating SES you can assign a different Order (child Orders) to each line items of the SES if it is your case.
  • And the Point2 seems relevant to Subcontracting process.

These links may be helpful to you for having some concepts to design your full solution.

(You are getting many useful links in Google with string 'External Refurbishment' )

Recommend search previous discussions, because I remember this was done many times. Also wait for experience sharing responses here.

Dimension Size Vs Fact Size
The current size of all dimensions can be monitored in relation to fact table by t-code se38 running report SAP_INFOCUBE_DESIGNS.Also,we can test the infocube design by RSRV tests. It gives out the dimension to fact ratio

The ratio of a dimension should be less than 10% of the fact table. In the report,Dimension table looks like /BI[C/O]/D[xxx]
Fact table looks like /BI[C/0]/[E/F][xxx]
Use T-CODE LISTSCHEMA to show the different tables associated with a cube.

We used the SAP program Sap_Infocube_designs to check the structure of the InfoCubes to ensure they had a “good” profile (a good profile means that the dimension tables were small against the fact table row).

Re: Shipment Cost document items

Redmond,

I saw you posted it a while ago, not sure if you still need help, but here are my comments.

First, it is weird that the pallet appears in the batch split. The batch split supposed to be the batches to the main item (the finished goods) and the pallets supposed to be a new item in the delivery, which can be manually included in the delivery and have a new item category for that.

I had a situation where pallets were in the delivery as an additional item and I did want to suppress this pallet from shipment cost document (and transfer freight the amount correspondent to the pallets weight to the main item) and I was able to do this in the SCD using the BAdI

Hi Ingo,

In this case, what's the approach for merging the two different data sources before performing the custom calculation?

Thanks,

Hello Hanumath,

this behavior is really annoying.

It seems like the PID stops being activated on its own.

This happen to me all the time in Tests system, but weirdly, it never happened in Prod. There might be some better back end in Production systems. Hopefully!

If someone got a fix from SAP to solve this, do not hesitate to share it.

Thank you for your attention.

Best regards.

HANA Text Mining Problem

$

Hi guys,

I don't know if this is the correct place to ask this question, but I need your help.

I am trying to call a text mining function which is "TM_GET_RELATED_DOCUMENTS" for getting the most related documents to a specific document. But I am having "incorrect syntax" error while processing. Here is the steps that I follow from beginning:

I have a table named "inancTrialTrain" in "SYSTEM" schema to be used for text mining. The definition of this table as follows

2015-12-14 04-09-32 SAP HANA Development - inancTrialTrain System: HDB Host: 52.30.98.20 Instance: 00 Connected User: S.png

And then, I created fulltext index on this table on "text" column as follows

DROP FULLTEXT INDEX "SYSTEM"."INDEX_INANCTRIALTRAIN";
CREATE FULLTEXT INDEX INDEX_INANCTRIALTRAIN ON "SYSTEM"."inancTrialTrain" ("text")
ASYNC
FAST PREPROCESS OFF
SEARCH ONLY OFF
TEXT ANALYSIS ON
CONFIGURATION 'LINGANALYSIS_FULL'
TEXT MINING ON
LANGUAGE DETECTION ('EN')
;
MERGE DELTA OF "SYSTEM"."inancTrialTrain";

Everything seems fine until this point. I manage to create index table, and it seems good as you can see in the following pic (please do not try to understand tokens, they are in turkish )

2015-12-14 04-18-16 SAP HANA Development - Users inanc Documents Software eclipse_SAP_HANA Eclipse.app Contents MacOS SQL .png

Now, I am trying to call TM_GET_RELATED_DOCUMENTS as follow (reference is Advanced Data Processing: TM_GET_RELATED_DOCUMENTS - SAP HANA SQL and System Views Reference - SAP Library)

SELECT *
FROM TM_GET_RELATED_DOCUMENTS (
DOCUMENT 'some text here'
SEARCH "text" FROM "SYSTEM"."inancTrialTrain"
RETURN
TOP 16
"id", "text"
) AS T;

I got this error:

Could not execute 'SELECT * FROM TM_GET_RELATED_DOCUMENTS ( DOCUMENT 'some text here' SEARCH "text" FROM ...'

SAP DBTech JDBC: [257]: sql syntax error: incorrect syntax near "some text here": line 3 col 10 (at pos 51)

If I call this function as follow (reference is (Time: 3:56) SAP HANA Academy - Text Mining: Using SQL to access Text Mining Functions [SPS 10] - YouTube)

SELECT *
FROM TM_GET_RELATED_DOCUMENTS (
DOCUMENT IN FULLTEXT INDEX WHERE "id"=1
SEARCH "text" FROM "SYSTEM"."inancTrialTrain"
RETURN
TOP 16
"id", "text"
) AS T;

I got this error:

Could not execute 'SELECT * FROM TM_GET_RELATED_DOCUMENTS ( DOCUMENT IN FULLTEXT INDEX WHERE "id"=1 SEARCH "text" FROM ...'

SAP DBTech JDBC: [257]: sql syntax error: incorrect syntax near "IN": line 3 col 10 (at pos 51)

I don't understand why this syntax error occurs. I hope one of you guys can help me to figure this out. Additionally here is the general information of my HANA System. Maybe my SPS revision is the problem (although I don't think so)

2015-12-14 04-33-47 SAP HANA Development - System: HDB Host: 52.30.98.20 Instance: 00 Connected User: SYSTEM System Usa.png

Thanks,

Inanc
