Re: New entries OB08 without transport request in the production system

Hi Nerea,

So, you essentially want to maintain updated exchange rates.

Here are the ways -

1. T500W and TCURF can not be maintained in production. You will have to transport it always.

2. You can not maintain TCURF and TCURR straightaway in production using OB08.

3. You should follow -

     a. Transport T500W (if required) and V_TCURF to production
     b. Run transaction TBDM to upload exchange rate from flat file

Transaction TBDM updates records in table TCURR. So, please check the information button of the transaction and refer the section Structure for transferring exchange rates (data class 01) to know more about the file structure. You can process the file from your desktop.

I have done that in production recently and it worked perfectly fine.

Thanks

Bodhisattwa

Rakesh,

Though your requirement is still not clear but will still try on a high level (as per my understanding of your requirement):

  • First of all, I hope you are talking about forecast accuracy i.e. comparison of actual sales to forecast.
  • To divide the data, create a planning book with daily bucket and dis-aggregation will be automatic.
  • Capture forecast & actual sales in this planning book on daily bucket.
  • Put two key figures in this planning book; cumulative forecast and cumulative actual sales.
  • Compare cumulative numbers for the previous/current day through macro (create database alert)

Re: Displaying a dynamic number of tables, traffic lights and charts

Hi Asish,

In WEBI, you can produce a dynamic number (based on value in dimension) by using a section.

The difference is it can only go vertical (while for my requirement it needs to go horizontal).

Hi Friends,

I am running into a strange issue.

The color status in the calendar changes when the employee click on Paper ICON. here is the screenshot.

When employee first access the time calendar , the dates high lighted  Feb 13 to 26  as shown below circled  , which is correct.Time_Entry_calandercolor_chagne1.png

Now, employee enter time as 9 and click on paper ICON as shown below:

Time_Entry_calandercolor_chagne2.png

I click on OK or Cancel to come out from the Pop up. After this the calendar highlighted color goes back to previous week Feb 6 -19th which is wrong , the color highlighted should show same as in the beginning which is  Feb 13 - 26.

You are on 12.5.4, so Direct I/O is not available. However, you may want to confirm that the O/S is not attempting to cache the device, when dsync is turned on or off. As you are on 32-bit Windows, the device might be too large to cache in a 32-bit environment And this could be contributing to the problem.

We noticed in 15.7 at least, with Direct I/O off on temp devices, NTFS tried to cache the temp devices (actually ANY device with Direct I/O off).  Under ECC these were very large and started to push the ASE out of memory. Windows obviously recognizes MSSQL devices and does not cache them. But with ASE, you must be explicit. The workaround was to turn Direct I/O on, even for temp devices, to prevent caching by the O/S.

Although you you are still on 12.5.4, I wonder if the 32-bit O/S is trying to cache the device. You may want to try running the O/S with /3GT flag (if my memory is correct) to give more data space to processes (gives only 1GB to the O/S instead of the default 2+2 split - assuming you have 4GB of memory on the box) and check if setting Dsync on or off helps.

The other solution is to get to 64-bit, supported ASE and O/S ASAP.

Re: What Fonts are available on server side?

Hello Michael,

please search for "Font Types Compatible with Forms" in the Help Center on the right side of your System. Here you will get a list of all SAP Fonts. Primarily, Adobe Fonts.

If you want to use some other Fonts, for example Verdana (Microsoft), perform the following steps:

  • Open an Incident as a service request
  • Upload the License Identification, invoices and payment documents in the Incident
  • Upoad the font file to the Incident
  • Now SAP can install the font on your SAP system and enable it
  • Perform a local installation of fonts by

Now you can customize your forms and the font of your choice is used. The font is usable for all users and on all Systems.

Best Regards

Hendrik

Time measure (hhmmss) from BW query (Time Key Figure) not displayed on chart in Design Studio

Hi Design Studio experts,

I am encountering an issue in Design Studio (1.6) where time measure (hhmmss) from BW BEx query (using Time Key Figure) are not displayed on any charts.

The time measure (hh:mm:ss) can be displayed on table, but shown as empty on chart.

For example: Time measure (Avg Delay time) are shown on cross tab.

But on a chart, they are all null

ScreenHunter_17 Feb. 18 17.25.jpg

If I switch the measure to a quantity measure, the chart is populated.

But as soon as use a time measure, it becomes blank.

Perhaps the chart is treating the time measure (hh:mm:ss) as a string and not knowing how to plot it?

The goal is to reproduce a time chart like this on Design Studio.

     (From Excel)

Does anyone has how to resolve this or any workaround?

Thanks & Regards,

Lawrence

This warning refers to Badi "LE_SHP_DLV_GETLIST", which you can view in transaction SE18.

My first guess would be that one of the implementations of this BADI needs to be activated.

Look over the class and all implementations to see if you can spot the error. It's probably in an implementation.

Re: SAP HANA VM Veeam Backup

Hi,

you can check out the following Veeam Forum post that describe SAP HANA Backup with Veeam.

Basically it follows the same way that storage systems like NetApp use for Backup of HANA.

You implement in Veeam Pre and Post Scripts that makes HANA aware of the Veeam Backups.

As well Logfile Handling is included (how many backup data do you want to keep on HANA system itself?).

In case of a DB restore, you go to HANA Studio and can access the backup data on HANA system directly. If you need older versions you can restore them with Veeam File Level Recovery Wizard or more comfortable with the Veeam Enterprise Manager File Restore (Selfe Services) and hit the rescann button at HANA Studio restore wizard. They are detected and you can proceed with the restore.

This Integration was written by Tom Sightler from Veeam together with a customer that uses it.

HI,

an alternative way of doing this is compare each row with the previous one, if it is equal, set a variable to 0 else 1 and filter the table for 1's

create a dim var [conc]=[Name]+[Dept]+[Sal]

create a measure variable, [filter]=If([conc]=Previous([conc]);0;1)

FIlter the table for [filter]=1,
