We just upgraded from 4.1 SP1 to 4.1 SP4 Patch 2 and we are facing the issue described in the beginning of this thread. We'll try to apply the solutions above and see if it fixes it.
I am trying to import an 14.0 .atl repository file into a 14.1 repository.
Thank you Ravi,
We have this scenario that we need to post an acquisition to an asset from an AUC, however the AUC is already been closed. So the business decided to post direct posting to the fixed asset. CIP acquisitions always have ttypes as it involves assets reconciliation accounts (as you said 70 posting keys).
Now we decided to post an acquisition using ttype 100, however that is the scenario that we have, the contra account does not have the asset ttype.
Thanks!

Yes, that is what we did, Used SHMM to clear some shared memory thing, and it worked.
There is no documentation which states that this has to be done. It is very confusing
1) There is a configuration in CAC1, to ensure Clock Times show, but has no impact on portal
2) Then there is Webdynpro application configuration, which SAP says we should use. Although it is not technically necessary to copy into a Z-config, I am sure it is not an incorrect method to do so. But even this does not impact because
3) It is set as X anyway, by default in the shared memory. and there is no documentation which mentions this, and no way of guessing that transaction SHMM has to be used.
At one time, SAP used to give detailed application help, and now it is all very esoteric.
Anyway, we are finally up and running with CATS WDA, hopefully there are no more issues.
Thanks and Regards
I am very new on SPM implementations....I have followed all the instructions content in Note 1239883, according with this note, the last step is to create entries in OPM_SOURCES table to load data to inbound area, but I do not know how to relate the different datasources with the upload type. In some cases I have related it only with the name, i.e.: Z_SADSERP3UOM with UOM andZ_SADSERP3GLACCOUNT with 0XAGLACC but I think it is not the correct way to do it. On the other hand, I do not know how to relate the majority, i.e.: Z_SADSERP3SUPPLIER, Z_SADSERP3IVBSIK, Z_SADSERP3IVBSAK, etc
In conclusion, I have 47 upload types in OPMDM_TYPES table and 28 datasources generated in ERP System, How can I link each datasource with the corresponding Upload Type (DSO, master data) to create entries on OPM_SOURCES table.
Thanks in advance for your reply.
Apologies Rona
The %TEMP% - just go to start and copy the term into the search box. Explorer will then open that folder. Go to the properties of the folder and ensure it has read / write permissions enabled. If you're not sure and you have an IT person, see if t hey can help.
- Ludek,
Additional information:
The above mentioned solution with debugging and changing the problematic values does not really solve the problem. I had to delete all input fields, activate the view and readd them in SE80.
Hi Vadim,
thanks for your reply. I must state however that it did work in the 7.5 version for 3 years now.
I am indeed aware of this kind of solution, but I wanted it to be dynamic as it was before. I guess I'll have no way of this and go for the combobox option. In reality, I guess it's a quite stable dimension.
kind regards,
Christophe
Hi Krishna,
I would recommend to Run report SIAC_REGENERATE_TEMPLATES in Dev - first though run
SIAC_PUBLISH_ALL_INTERNAL in DEV before doing the Regeneration.

Hello community,
in our case we use Create Object of an OLE class. In a normal case this command was executed in a context of a UI application, the SAP GUI for Windows. To check the existence of a class we instantiate it and look for the result in a remote enabled FM.
FUNCTION ZEXISTSPROGID.
"-----------------------------------------------------------------------
" Local Interface:
*" IMPORTING
*" VALUE(PROGID) TYPE CHAR128
*" EXPORTING
*" VALUE(RESULT) TYPE BYTE
*"----------------------------------------------------------------------
"-Variables-----------------------------------------------------------
Data obj Type OLE2_OBJECT.
Create Object obj ProgID.
If sy-subrc <> 0 Or obj-Handle = 0 Or obj-Type <> 'OLE2'.
Result = 0.
Else.
Free Object obj.
Result = 1.
EndIf.
ENDFUNCTION.
Here the problem starts. If you use this FM with the USE_SAPGUI option from the SAP RFC library and a dialog user all works as expected. If you run this FM without USE_SAPGUICreate Object delivers always sy-subrc = 0, obj-Handle = -1 and obj-Type = OLE2, independently whether the ProgID exists or not. I expected in this cases as sy-subrc = 1 (error in communication with the SAP GUI), because no SAP GUI exist - but it isn't.
I catch this behavior with the GUI_IS_AVAILABLE function.
So far so good, now my question: Why delivers Create Object this obviously wrong results? Or are the results correct and I don't understand the logic behind this behavior?
Thanks for answers and tips.
Cheers
Stefan
Hello Anup,
I am curious to know if you were able to resolve this issue or did you end up creating .hdbprocedure object in your repository.
Thanks,
Aamod.
I have a requirement to auto populate the cost center in ME51N when the user provides the Requisition ID at the item level and hits the ENTER key. I could not find any relevant BAdis for this. Can anyone please help?
Thanks Christopher! I just applied that note and it took care of one of my 2 example problems. I'm trying to go back and reread all 36 pages of discussion on here to see what else I may have missed.
We just added 8000 employees on the east coast so I'm afraid to see what happens when I add them into my testing.
Take a look of how, over the time, the temporary cache get filled up. The peaks are during the loading periods, we can clearly see that for the loads, the temporary cache is freed, but seems that over the regular daily querying of the database the temporary cache get full. I'm wondering if eventually this will affect loading performance?
I used this link all the time when I'm developing workflows and what have you:

The last couple of days, it's been giving me a "Page Not Found" error quite a bit. Has this been moved? If so, where to? I would really appreciate being able to use this resource again.
Can you send me the scn documents , how to debug the queue.
Hi Ask
Its all depend on your hardware resources, you can refer the SCN link

Hi Rahul,
Create new DataSource (DS) based on some of your file based source system.
Once you reach screen of DS on Extraction tab chose in Adapter field: Load text type file from local workstation. In field Data Format choose Separated with separator: and following choose fields of:
Data Separator
Escape Sign

I have just had my machine reimaged. After installing PowerBuilder 12.5.2 I am trying to debug an application that I developed more than a year again and I have been maintaining ever since.
This application was written in PB12.5.2 so this is not a conversion. Reinstalled everything as it was before the reimage. I am using PVCS Source Control. The very weird thing that is happening is when I try to debug it, it is calling my error handling function every time it hits a breakpoint and whenever I press the next button.
I put
messagebox ('','here')
as the first line of the open event of the application object and put a breakpoint on the second line of the application object. When I run the application in debug mode I get the message box then I get my error handling function at the breakpoint.
Then I put a breakpoint on the "messagebox ('','here')" line and the weirdness starts there. The error handling that it is calling is for the global transaction object I created. My object nv_transaction replace sqlca as the global transaction object.
The thing that baffles me is why I am getting sql errors on the first line of code which is a message box that doesn't reference any sql at all and it only is a problem during debug.
I have two machines with the same version of PB12 with the same source and that machine is doing the exact same thing?
OS is windows 7 enterprise service pack 1
